Today I voted for this piece at the spring exhibition at Charlottenborg.
Now I could be wrong in my interpretations and I was rather surprised to see it was made by a danish woman currently studying at the art academy on Funen.
But to me this is a teenage boy covering up his identity to let loose in a rather homoerotic dance and from the color of his skin and the music I imagine it takes place in some strict muslim country.
In that light it becomes a rather strong piece about rebellion against a society that does not accept homosexuality ?... I better write the artist.. I will let you know what she has to say.

Ana Soler

As I collect more work for this blog or "Library" I try to come up with the rules of how and why I pick the work that is featured. One of the things I like to be reminded of is to keep it simple. With this piece Ana Solar makes a little bit of poetry by sticking to the most simple story you can tell with a tennis ball.

Francesca Ramello opening night

No wonder Francesca Ramello looks happy that is a good crowd for the group show at Biennale di Venezia , Pavilion Hall of Piedmont Region in Turin , ITALY. The painting in the middle is by Neri Ceccarelli and I think that is his take on Jesus. Congratulations to both of you and thanks for sharing your art with us.
