Anna Samsøe

Today I voted for this piece at the spring exhibition at Charlottenborg.
Now I could be wrong in my interpretations and I was rather surprised to see it was made by a danish woman currently studying at the art academy on Funen.
But to me this is a teenage boy covering up his identity to let loose in a rather homoerotic dance and from the color of his skin and the music I imagine it takes place in some strict muslim country.
In that light it becomes a rather strong piece about rebellion against a society that does not accept homosexuality ?... I better write the artist.. I will let you know what she has to say.
